Bitner Vineyards were planted in 1981, with the first production in 1985. There are 14 acres planted to Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Merlot, Shiraz,Petite Verdot and Voignoir. In 1995 We started a long term relationship with Greg Koenig of Koenig Winery and Distillery. Greg makes wines from us each year under his own label and in 1997 started to make reserve wines for us under the Bitner Vineyard label. The wines made by Greg from our grapes have received national attention.
Two recent writes ups from Wine Press Northwest follow. Bitner Vineyards wines are currently available direct from us or the Idaho State Liquor Dispensaries.. We are working on a tasting room to be open summer 2005. We are located in the heart of the Treasure Valley in Caldwell. For more information please call: (208) 454-0086
